Jujutsu Kisen Paving the way for his comeback with the second season of the anime, and the first look at what to expect for the new episodes is the excitement of how the anime will take on Gojo’s Past arc from Gege Akutami’s original manga series! The first season of the series eventually led to the release of the franchise’s first feature film, jujutsu kisen 0, Which went back in time to show how the series became what it is today. But soon the anime series itself will take a glimpse into the past by revealing Satoru Gojo’s time as a student at Jujutsu Tech!
Season 1 ended with Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, and Megumi Fushiguro recovering from their battle with Death Painting Wombs as it was worrisome that every single one of them would be willing to get a major upgrade. The next major manga arc after that actually goes back to the time of Gojo and Suguru Geto together during a very formative assignment during their time as students. Without giving away much to fans who haven’t been fully explored, Gojo’s Past arc fills in some of the questions raised by the events of Jujutsu Kisen 0. This movie mocked the existence of a history between Gojo and Geto long before they met there and long before the events of the main series. This arc actually highlights this past (along with Shoko Ieiri, the third person on their team) and their mission to protect a very important person (who can be seen hiding next to Geto in the poster) before everything collapses.
This not only fills in important blanks from the past, but also puts in some big things to come. This means that it will take some time before fans can see the main trio in action again (after an episode that reintroduces everyone, if the anime directly adapts to what comes next in the manga) in Season 2, but at least it will mean some lore. Very compelling for the future!
